Engineering Technologist

Job Summary: 

The successful Candidate will be working full-time in the Engineering department as an Engineering Technologist involved in the design of mechanical and electrical building services. They will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all facets of mechanical and electrical design drafting and documentation and coordination.

They will assist the Engineering team with project drawings, mark-ups, project specifications as well as tender and contract documentation. Gather field information and prepare drawings based on site surveys. Participate in walkthroughs and meeting reviews with Clients and contractors. Liaison with suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Typical duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-  Drafting and design reviews and mark-ups

-  Site surveys and measurements to produce as-built drawings

-  Corresponding on a regular basis with suppliers, contractors, extended team members, and Clients for project coordination

-  Building permit and regulatory documentation applications and processing

-  Heat loss/gain calculations

-  Excel and data management

Qualifications and Skills

The successful proponent will have the following qualifications and skills:

-  OACETT Certification considered an asset

-  Significant working knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, MS Office, Revit, Excel, Adobe software suites

-  Experience in the building services industry

-  Valid "G" class license

-  Fluent written and oral English

Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary: 

The successful Candidate will be working full-time in the Engineering department as a Mechanical Engineer involved in the design of mechanical building services. They will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all facets of mechanical design including: drafting, site surveys and field audits, and documentation and coordination.

They will work with the Engineering team in preparing project drawings, mark-ups, project specifications as well as tender and contract documentation. The successful candidate's activities will include: gathering field information and preparing drawings based on site surveys as well as participating in walkthroughs and meeting reviews with Clients and contractors and liaising with suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients.

-  Drafting and design reviews and mark-ups

-  Site surveys and measurements to produce as-built drawings

-  Corresponding on a regular basis with suppliers, contractors, extended team members, and Clients for project coordination

-  Building permit and regulatory documentation applications and processing

-  Heat loss/gain calculations

-  Excel and data management

Qualifications and Skills

-  Experience in consulting engineering related to building services (HVAC, Plumbing, Hydronic, etc.) is preferred

-  P. Eng and/or E.I.T. is considered an asset

-  Significant working knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, MS Office, Revit, Excel, Adobe software suites

-  Experience in the building services industry

-  Valid "G" class license

-  Fluent written and oral English

Electrical Engineer

Job Summary: 

The successful Candidate will be working full-time in the Engineering department as an Electrical Engineer involved in the design of electrical building services. They will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all facets of mechanical design including: drafting, site surveys and field audits, and documentation and coordination.

They will work with the Engineering team in preparing project drawings, mark-ups, project specifications as well as tender and contract documentation. The successful candidate's activities will include: gathering field information and preparing drawings based on site surveys as well as participating in walkthroughs and meeting reviews with Clients and contractors and liaising with suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients.

-  Electrical design related to building services (Emergency Generators, Switchgears, Transformers, Lighting, Building Automation, Voltage 

   Optimization, Life Safety Systems, etc.)

-  Drafting and design reviews and mark-ups

-  Site surveys and measurements to produce as-built drawings

-  Corresponding on a regular basis with suppliers, contractors, extended team members, and Clients for project coordination

-  Building permit and regulatory documentation applications and processing

-  Excel and data management

Qualifications and Skills
